Robin Williams and his Heart Surgery

I consider the 57-year-old Robin McLaurim Williams as the personification of American comedy. Since childhood, I remember watching his movies repeatedly, like Mrs. Doubtfire.

Last March 2009, the great American actor and comedian had undergone a heart surgery procedure at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. He postponed his one-man-show tour and went into a Miami, Florida, hospital for testing earlier this month after suffering shortness of breath. Then doctors told him that he needed an aortic valve replacement. I
Up to this time, I think it is good news because that his Heart Surgery went very well according to his surgeon. The big heart of the man is strong and he will have normal heart function after the surgery with no limitations on what he’ll be able to do. Robin is indeed a hearty man, imagine that just a couple of hours after surgery, he was already entertaining the medical team and making them all laugh.

This is not the first time he has coped with health problems. In the past four years, the comedian and actor checked himself into an alcohol rehabilitation center. But after 20 years of abstinence, he found himself drinking again and has decided to take hands-on measures to deal with this for his own happiness and the happiness of his family.
